Miller

A short history of Miller brand:

The Danish Miller fountain pen brand was established in 1908 by Johannes Iversen in Copenhagen. Initially, the company was known as "Johannes Iversen" before changing its name to the Miller Pen Company. Johannes Iversen patented a unique "Stretch Vacumatic" filling system for fountain pens in 1939, which was a notable innovation of the brand. Miller pens are recognized for this filling mechanism and their Danish origin. The company was involved in producing pens noted for quality and craftsmanship, and some models—such as the Miller Royal 408—featured this distinctive filling system. Miller had connections beyond Denmark, including a Norwegian branch established in Oslo in 1953, reflecting the brand’s regional significance in Scandinavia. To summarize: - Founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1908 by Johannes Iversen. - Originally called "Johannes Iversen" before adopting the Miller Pen Company name. - Known for the patented "Stretch Vacumatic" filling system from 1939. - Produced quality pens with unique filling designs, important in Danish pen history. - Had a Norwegian branch in the 1950s. This history reflects Miller’s role as an early 20th-century Danish manufacturer with notable technical filling system innovation.
